WICHITA, Kan. (KNSS) - The Wichita State baseball team closed out the home portion of its season with a 3-2 win over Kansas State on Tuesday evening at Eck Stadium.

Kansas State scored two early runs, but WSU was able to tie it up 2-2 on a two-run single by rightfielder Luke Ritter chopped over the head of the K-State third baseman.

The game was still tied 2-2 when Ritter led off the bottom of the 9th inning with a solo homerun over the centerfield wall for the win.

It was WSU's first win with a walk-off homerun since 2015.

Wichita State's bullpen was stellar, going 7.1 innings while giving up zero runs.

WSU went 22-7 at home this season, winning nine of its last 10 home games.
