A shooting in south Wichita leads to the death of a young woman, apparently murdered by a lifelong friend.

23-year-old Deshonda Walker fought last Saturday with a friend of hers near Pawnee & Hillside, in the 3400 block of E. Munger Lane, when his relatives parked in front of her grandmother's house.

The dispute became violent at about 3:00 a.m. Wednesday, when the man found the woman sitting alone in a car, he possibly hit her in the head with an object, and shot her several times.

Police are looking for the suspect: 27-year-old Albert Thomas. Apparently, Walker and Thomas had grown up
