The reports keep coming out … the wealthiest people in America have seen their incomes rise dramatically over the past 30 years, while the rest of us have seen stagnant and even falling incomes. Corporate C-E-Os get 25% yearly salary increases, while the rest of us watch our take-home pay shrink.
Some will tell you that this is the way capitalism or a “free market” economy is supposed to function. The “winners” rise to the top, while the “losers” ought to do what ever it takes to become a “winner”.
Meanwhile, the economy generates fewer and fewer well-paying jobs and company benefits are reduced or eliminated. Americans are angry and frustrated, because they don’t know for sure who to blame. Politicians say blame government … even though they are the government.
And there is total confusion about what’s to be done to save the middle class … or even if the middle class should be rescued at all.

Our thought for today is from Albert Einstein:
“The significant problems we have cannot be solved at the same level of thinking with which we created them.”
