The list counts down the 10 happiest cities to work in and the 10 unhappiest. Wichita makes an appearance on the latter list, as the third-most unhappy city to work in.
Forbes says the list is based on an analysis of more than 36,000 independent employee reviews completed between November 2011 and November 2012. Employees were asked to evaluate various factors related to workplace happiness, like relationships with their boss and co-workers, compensation, opportunities for advancement, daily tasks and company culture.
Worker satisfaction earned a lower score, however, in Boulder, Colo., and Reno, Nev., which claimed the No. 1 and 2 spots respectively. Looking for greener pastures? Dayton, Ohio, ranked No. 1, followed by Knoxville, Tenn., and Honolulu, Hawaii.
Last year Wichita ranked No. 6 on the happiest places to work list.
