Tuesday Storms Blow Through KS

Severe thunderstorms came through south-central Kansas during a three-hour period Tuesday night.

A thunderstorm wind gust of 69 miles per hour was measured two miles southeast of Hutchinson near Yoder Road & Highway 50 in Reno County; another gust of 67 miles per hour was reported near Mt. Hope at 215th Street West & K-96.

Tree limbs were downed in the town of Sterling.

Quarter-sized hail was reported five miles east of Kingman along Highway 54 at the Galesburg exit.

In west Wichita, four-and-a-half-inch diameter tree limbs were downed on Maize Road between Kellogg & Maple.
