Semi Truck accident blocks traffic
Troopers were busy Tuesday evening in South Wichita on Interstate 135 west of Hydraulic. A semi truck that was travelling south hydroplaned during heavy rains about 6:30 coming to rest on top of the bridge over the Arkansas River. The fire department was also called to the scene due to some diesel fuel on the highway. The semi was not carrying any hazardous materials. Troopers were diverting traffic while the accident was being cleaned up. No other injuries were reported. The highway was reopened a few hours later.
