A Wichita-area woman was found unharmed four days after she disappeared, and she says her 300-pound abductor left her at her pastor's house after an apparent change of heart.
Sedgwick County sheriff's investigators said Joyce Patterson of Viola called 911 late Thursday, shortly after her abductor dropped her off and drove away. She had disappeared Monday from the Viola convenience store where she worked.
Undersheriff Bob Hinshaw said the abductor apparently had a change of heart after seeing news reports showing Patterson's husband and pastor pleading for her safe return.
