Things escalated when the car and bike pulled into a shopping center parking lot near Seneca and the 1100-hundred block of May. As the driver got out of the car, the bicyclist pulled out a gun and shot the man in the face. He was rushed to Saint Francis Hospital, where he remains in critical condition tonight.
Wichita Police Sgt. Steve Yarberry says that people inside nearby businesses heard a gunshot, and saw a suspect riding away on a bicycle. The man's description was given to 911 dispatchers. Less than a minute later, he was taken into custody at Pawnee and Seneca. The suspect, a man in his 30's, had to be tazed before he was taken into custody.
