WICHITA - A house fire in southeast Wichita this morning. Around 1:40 firefighters were called to 2049 South Rosalie. They spotted flames coming from the roof and found fire in the interior of the house. Battalion Fire Chief Ernie Schuler told KAKE News flames were shooting from the attic of the empty house when firefighters arrived. They were able to bring the fire under control quickly, Schuler said, but not before it caused at least $75,000 in damage. The blaze was under control in about twenty minutes' time. It was a vacant house. No injuries reported, the cause is under investigation.
