Driver Arrested in Fatal Hit-and-Run at 47th and Broadway
After receiving several Crimestoppers tips, Wichita Police say they have located and arrested the alleged hit-and-run driver in a fatal accident on the south side. A 54-year-old man from Tennessee was run down and killed Sunday afternoon, as he was crossing the street near 47th Street South and Broadway. A 26-year-old woman, also from Tennessee, was staying with a relative in Haysville when she was arrested Thursday afternoon. Police have not released the names of the victim or the suspect, and it is not known if they knew each other. The woman has been booked into jail on a charge of leaving the scene of an accident causing great bodily harm.
