Have you noticed that you probably do not have a radio receiver as part of your cell phone? Is the technology not there yet? I remember Walkmans use to have FM radios built right in? Well in fact if you lived in Europe, you’d have a radio built in to your cell phone. So we know it can happen.
Maybe the cost is too high? No, that not the case either. I don’t know the exact cost, but all it takes is a radio chip that might cost $5, maybe $10 more for a cell phone. I’d pay that all day long.
The radio industry is pushing to get cell phone companies to cooperate and move forward giving their consumers what they want, a radio receiver in their cell phone.
