Clean-Up for Matlock Neighborhood

The Wichita Police Department and Union Rescue Mission are assisting the Matlock Neighborhood Association this weekend, conducting a neighborhood clean-up on Saturday. The event will take place Saturday, April 19, from 7:00 a.m. to noon, and is being coordinated by Patrol North Community Police Officer Paul Kimble.

The area that will be cleaned up is from 21st Street north to 27th Street, and from Grove to Estelle streets.

The City of Wichita will be providing equipment and covering the dumping costs. Citizens in the area will work with WPD and men from the Union Rescue Mission’s New Beginnings program that helps homeless men make positive life changes.
