Boeing is announcing its first round of layoffs at its Wichita plant. On Wednesday, the aircraft manufacturer announced plans to layoff 800 workers in Wichita. Seventy-six of them will get pink slips today. Boeing has blamed the layoffs at its Integrated Defense Systems facility in Wichita on the delay of a U.S. Air Force tanker replacement program and the end of other work projects.
