Rookie forward Michael Beasley did not finish his first practice with the Miami Heat summer league team after being struck in the chest by a teammate's elbow.

The Heat said Beasley, the #2 overall pick out of Kansas State in last week'sNBA draft, was being taken for evaluation.

Beasley, the nation's top college rebounder last season, and the Heat are scheduled to begin play in the Orlando summer league on Monday.
