WICHITA, Kan. - A suspected robber used the threat of explosives in an attempt to rob a south Wichita Wal-Mart. It happened around 2:45 p.m. Thursday at Pawnee and Broadway.
Officers were told a man telephoned the store saying there were three explosive devices planted in the store and he wanted an employee to bring money to him in the parking lot.
Officers arrived and began checking the ID's of customers as they were exiting the store. A search of the store failed to uncover any suspicious devices and investigators have cleared the scene.
No arrests have been made.
