Wichita Man Injured After Being Struck By His Own Truck
NEWTON, Kan. - A Wichita man is hospitalized in critical condition after an accident where he was struck by his own truck. The accident happened just before 6:30 a.m. Wednesday on I-135 in Harvey County.
The man, 26, slid his Dodge pickup truck into the guardrail in the median. After he got out to inspect the damage, his vehicle was struck by a Chevy pickup truck. The impact caused the Dodge pickup to strike the driver.
The man was taken to a Wichita hospital, where he's listed in critical condition. The other driver, a man, 61, from Wichita, was hospitalized at a Wichita hospital in serious condition. A passenger in Dodge was hospitalized in Newton with non-life threatening injuries.
The accident remains under investigation.
