The Cowley County Sheriff says the remains were first discovered Friday morning in an area near 65th and 156th Road. The sheriff's department, along with the Winfield Police Department, the KBI and a search dog from the Wichita Police department were called to the scene to investigate.
The remains are now undergoing forensic tests to try to determine where they came from. So far, no other details have been released.
