Two Arrests After Fast-Food Rage Incident

WICHITA - A pair of convicted felons were arrested after a shooting outside a west Wichita McDonald's; the trouble began after the restaurant got their drive-thru order wrong.
Police say a 27-year-old woman was driving a Trailblazer that tried to cut in front of another vehicle Wednesday morning. The driver of the car that was cut off refused to budge, and eventually the woman in the Trailblazer threw a tire iron at her.
Police say a man in the Trailblazer got out and fired a shotgun blast into the driver's side of the victim's car before the Trailblazer drove off.
The suspects' vehicle was traced back to a residence near Central & Meridian. Officers converged on the scene, but the people inside ignored police when they asked to enter the house. Police waited to obtain a search warrant, and after a standoff of approximately six hours, the SWAT Team entered the house.
A 24-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman were arrested; they face charges of felony possession of a firearm, and aggravated assault.
