WICHITA, Kan. - In preparation for the 2013 Legislative session, State Representative Pete DeGraaf, serving as Chairman, will convene a meeting of the South Central Delegation on Thursday, January 10, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. in the Wichita State University Metroplex, at 29th and Oliver.
The meeting which is open to the public is designed to prepare legislators for the 2013 legislative session that begins Monday, January 14th.
Mr. Raney Gilliard, Director of Legislative Research, will begin the afternoon session with an in-depth look at the State General Fund. Legislators will also hear from Wichita Mayor Carl Brewer, Sedgwick County Commissioner Tim Norton, USD 259 Superintendent John Allison, WSU President John Bardo, the Wichita Independent Business Association, Kansas Policy Institute, and others.
The South Central Delegation meets weekly during the legislative session to hear from interest groups and to update members on pending legislation impacting the area.
