WICHITA - KAKE-News reports that some plant workers at Hawker Beechcraft will hear about furloughs as early as tomorrow.
Sources tell KAKE aviation reporter Chris Frank there could be as many as 240 hourly employees put on furlough for a period of two to three weeks.
Under a furlough, a worker is still considered an employee but not coming to work or being paid. They still have access to benefits.
The furloughs will most likely affect workers on the J-PATS program, the trainer aircraft built for the Air Force and Navy.
There is no confirmation from Hawker Beechcraft.
