KAKE News, Wichita- Wichita police say a man was beaten over the head with a gun because he paid for drugs with monopoly money.
An officer pulled over a car around 6:30 p.m. Thursday at 14th and Spruce for a traffic violation. Inside he discovered a 33-year-old passenger with a head injury. The driver was taking the man to the hospital. Officers followed the car to the hospital where they discovered what happened.
The victim told police a man hit him over the head with a gun after he paid for a large amount of cocaine with monopoly money. The victim's injuries are not life threatening. No one has been arrested at this time.
