32 Year Sentence for Man Convicted of Crime Spree

An Alabama man will spend 32 years in federal prison for a five-day, five-state spree of armed robberies last August. Twenty-six-year-old Robert Cameron Foust of Alabaster, Ala., was sentenced Monday in Kansas for all of the crimes. The holdups occurred in Alabama, Tennessee, Arkansas, Oklahoma and Kansas. Foust pleaded guilty in December to armed robbery, brandishing a firearm during a crime of violence and being a felon in possession of a firearm. He admitted relapsing into cocaine use and carrying out the robberies shortly after being released from an Alabama state prison. Kansas authorities arrested him in Salina on Aug. 26, hours after he held up a pizza shop in the city of Newton.
